Beginner's Calligraphy

If you’ve always admired perfectly written cards, invitations and place cards, join us to learn calligraphy with the talented Mellor & Rose.
They’ll be in store from 11am-1.30pm on Thursday 22nd September sharing their tips and techniques for elegant and decorative handwriting. Starting with the fundamentals of how to use dip pen and ink, how to achieve the pressure strokes that give Calligraphy it's characteristic look and mastering letterforms, and moving onto linking letters, first words and phrases. They’ll be plenty of support along the way from Beverley and Lucy, and the workshop will include everything you’ll need.
This is an opportunity for first time calligraphers to put pen to paper as well as a great refresher for anyone looking to brush up on their skills.
