BECKY_WILKINSON-21

As women enter the menopause, they may experience a range of symptoms including hot flashes, mood changes, and sleep disturbances. These symptoms can be managed through a variety of methods, including medication and lifestyle changes. One way to address these symptoms is through the use of certain foods and recipes. For example, incorporating more soy products into your diet can help reduce hot flashes, while eating foods rich in calcium and vitamin D can help prevent osteoporosis, a bone-weakening condition that is more common in postmenopausal women.

But the benefits of a healthy diet during menopause extend beyond just managing symptoms. Some simple changes to your diet can also help lower your risk of long-term health concerns related to the menopause, such as cardiovascular disease. For example, eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and limiting your intake of red meat and processed foods can help reduce your risk of developing these conditions.

As a chef and nutritionist, I am passionate about helping people eat delicious, nourishing food that will not only make them feel good in the moment, but will also support their overall health and well-being. That is why I am dedicated to creating recipes that cater to the unique needs of menopausal women, while also being tasty and enjoyable to eat. I hope to inspire and encourage everyone to prioritize their health and well-being through the food they eat, and to see the menopause as an opportunity to make positive changes that will benefit their bodies and minds.

I will be demonstrating multiple recipes and talking through the benefits of consuming certain foods whilst creating a delicious balance meal that guests will taste. Recipe cards are provided so you can continue to create the dishes at home.
