The role
Founded in 1996, Neptune design and make pieces for your whole home. Recognised for our exacting standards, design-led aesthetic and expert craftsmanship, we're perhaps most known for kitchens - with heirloom-worthy dressers not far behind. Our trademark 'look' is British: refined, simple, sturdy, and with an almost obsessive attention to detail. We're also respected for our commitment to craft and quality. Put simply, we make things we're proud of, and that are designed to last a lifetime.
It's with great excitement that we announce the opening of a brand-new Neptune Outlet store, in the North of the UK at Redbrick Mill, very soon, so we're on the lookout for a key part of the team, our Outlet Warehouse Operative.
In this fast-paced role you'll support the Outlet Store Leader and team in the smooth running of the Outlet warehouse space and ensuring that all stock is correctly managed and transferred to the shop floor for display and customer viewing. You will also assist in the assembly, dismantling and packaging of large furniture items for customer collection or delivery. You'll support a very tight ship working behind the scenes in the warehouse space, running a highly efficient operation to coordinate the huge flow of items in and out of the Outlet, with the ultimate aim of getting orders to our customers as quickly as possible, but always with great care.
Day to day you will:
- Ensure all new stock arrivals are put into stillage in the correct locations, updating stock information and maintaining the warehouse space to a high standard
- Assemble and dismantle furniture, transferring to display in the showroom, ensuring that product is built securely
- Ensure products are packaged and labelled correctly before customer pick up
- Communicate with the store leader and team to ensure a smooth and effective flow of product into and out of the showroom
- Ensure all Health and Safety Policies and procedures are adhered to, maintaining a safe environment for customers and colleagues
We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional customer experience so you'll be key in keeping the outlet space, clean, tidy, safe and presentable. We are looking for someone that can bring previous experience within a warehouse environment, ideally within furniture and a good working knowledge of safe manual handling of heavy items. You'll also have an eye for detail and high standards with the ability the prioritise and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Our stores are open 7 days a week and so it's important that you'll have flexibility to work in the week and at weekends too.
