The role
We believe that beautiful spaces begin with care - for our homes, our craft, and above all, our people. We're looking for a thoughtful and proactive Health & Safety Co-ordinator to support our Facilities & Maintenance Manager in creating and maintaining safe, welcoming places to work across our business.
This is a hands-on role, working closely with teams across our warehouses, manufacturing sites and retail stores. You'll help bring our health and safety policies to life, ensuring they're practical, well understood and always aligned with current legislation and best practice.
Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will help ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, codes of practice and Neptune standards whilst encouraging a positive, open and supportive health & safety culture across the organisation.
Day to day you will:
- Carry out and support risk assessments, hazard identification and control measures, maintaining risk registers, ensuring actions are followed through and completed
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety observations and record, investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses
- Support root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventative actions, maintaining accurate incident, injury and safety records
- Coordinate health & safety inductions for new starters and contractors and help organise training, toolbox talks and health & safety awareness initiatives
- Share safety updates, guidance and best practice with colleagues and keep health & safety documentation, registers and records up to date
- Prepare reports on safety performance, trends and compliance and support internal and external audits and inspections
- Work across a variety of environments, including warehouses, manufacturing facilities and retail stores
You'll be someone with a strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice, ideally holding a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. You will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail and previous experience in a health & safety coordination or support role, ideally within a warehouse, manufacturing or retail environments (desirable). As a person, you'll bring a genuine interest in - and passion for - health and safety, clear, confident communication skills and the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels with a practical, solutions-focused and innovative mindset.

Our Story
Founded in 1996 by friends John Sims-Hilditch and Giles Redman, Neptune design and make pieces for your whole home. Recognised for our exacting standards, design-led aesthetic and expert craftsmanship, we're perhaps most known for kitchens - with heirloom-worthy dressers not far behind. Neptune's trademark 'look' is British: refined, simple, sturdy, and with an almost obsessive attention to detail. We're also respected for their commitment to craft and quality. Put simply, we make things we're proud of, and that are designed to last a lifetime.
