How we’re helping those affected by the war in Ukraine
Our homes should be safe places to be with loved ones, but for the people of Ukraine, this is no longer the case. Which is why we’ve been supporting a number of causes, including the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
The DEC work with leading UK aid charities, including the British Red Cross, to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crises overseas. At the moment, DEC charities are in Ukraine and neighbouring countries meeting the needs of all refugees and displaced people, providing essential medical and hygiene supplies, and emergency food and shelter.
Our online auction in aid of the appeal raised a total of £54,000 – all of which we’ve donated directly to the DEC. A very big thank you to all those who entered.
We’re also working with local charity Phoenix Enterprises, and other organisations local to our HQ in Wiltshire, to provide practical support – such as storage and transport – in getting critical supplies and aid out to the people of Ukraine. And, as many of our team at Neptune are Polish, we also wanted to make sure this was reflected in our choice of charities too. So, we’re donating to Polish Humanitarian Action, a charity helping refugees arriving in Poland with aid and support.
We’re continuing to look at what more we can do to respond in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the thoughts and love of the entire Neptune family are with everyone affected by this crisis.
