While, at first glance, Canterbury might look like a simple teak garden bench, on closer inspection you’ll find that it’s full of details that make it a more stylish – and comfortable – design. Details like the gentle wave in the backrest’s slats, which means it moulds naturally to your own back for a more supportive sit.

Why we love teak
Teak is our timber of choice for the garden. This hardwood is an excellent material for life in the great outdoors because it has naturally-occurring oils in its fibres which act as a preservative. We also add our own IsoGuard treatment, which is a linseed oil formula that brings added protection against the elements. Over time, teak will naturally take on an attractive silvered patina, although reapplying IsoGuard will help reverse that if you’d prefer.
Design detail
You’ll notice small details that give Canterbury a finer shape, like the arch of the armrest and the curved edge at the top of the front legs. We use traditional joinery techniques, so you’ll see discreet dowel joints rather than screws.
