Lowther has a hand-sculpted rippled finish reminiscent of wheel thrown clay. These off-white egg cups are decorated with a delicate dusting of dark brown speckles, so no two pieces exactly the same. They're made from durable ceramic and finished with a matte glaze.

The material
Lowther’s made from ceramic, which is extremely strong and hardwearing. You can stack it in cupboards and put it in the microwave or dishwasher without having to worry about it chipping. It’s everything you want from everyday crockery. Unusually, the finish on our Lowther pieces is quite matte, which is gives it a more contemporary, artisanal feel.
Design detail
The number of speckles can vary from piece to piece so, even if you use several pieces together, they’ll retain that sense of hand craft and informality.
